WCM Marquee Players
A Musical Theatre Program for grades 4-12

This fun-filled course is for students with a passion for musical theatre! The Winnipeg Conservatory of Music’s Marquee Players is an auditioned musical theatre company for students in grades 4 to grade 12.

Director Grace Hrabi produces a December Cabaret and a  full production in early June each year. Students will work on singing, drama games, acting roles, scene work and dancing.

Time: Thursdays – 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Location: Regular rehearsals are held at the Winnipeg Conservatory of Music located at 1476 Portage Ave.
Performance dates: TBA
Class minimum: 10 students.
Instructor: Grace Hrabi
Tuition: The program runs from September to early June. Tuition is $750, payable over 8 installments of $93.75 monthly.

Auditions

Auditions are held every year, and are open to students in grades 4 through 12. For auditions, please prepare a song and a monologue. In order to schedule an audition for WCM’s Marquee Players, please contact the Winnipeg Conservatory of Music.

The Audition:

The audition will be a time for the director to get to know each student. Relax and enjoy yourself! Please complete the WCM Marquee Players registration form and bring to your audition.

1. Sing Your Song. Please prepare a memorized song to be sung without music or with a recorded background track on iPod or cellular phone. There will be no accompanist. A stereo is onsite.
2. Recite Your Monologue. Please prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue or acting piece to be performed from memory.
