WCM Marquee Players
A Musical Theatre Program for grades 4-12
This fun-filled course is for students with a passion for musical theatre! The Winnipeg Conservatory of Music’s Marquee Players is an auditioned musical theatre company for students in grades 4 to grade 12.
Director Paula Olko (Director of St. James Divisional Musical Theatre and Piper Pride Productions) produces two full productions each year. Students will work on singing, drama games, acting roles, scene work and dancing.
Time: Fridays – 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
Location: Regular rehearsals are held at the Winnipeg Conservatory of Music located at 1476 Portage Ave.
Performance dates: December 6th – 9th, 2018; June 6th – 9th, 2019
Class minimum: 16 students.

Tuition: The program runs from September-May. Tuition is $72.25 each month. There is an annual $100 fee due at the time of acceptance into the program that will cover costumes and music for the year.
Auditions are held every year, and are open to students in grades 4 through 12. For auditions, please prepare a song and a monologue. There will be a short dance routine taught at the audition. In order to schedule an audition for WCM’s Marquee Players, please contact the Winnipeg Conservatory of Music.
The audition will be a time for the director to get to know each student. Relax and enjoy yourself! Please complete the WCM Marquee Players registration form and bring to your audition.
1. Sing Your Song. Please prepare a memorized song to be sung without music or with a recorded background track on iPod or cellular phone. There will be no accompanist. A stereo is onsite.
3. Recite Your Monologue. Please prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue or acting piece to be performed from memory.
3. A Small Dance Combo. This will be taught in the audition.
