Our adult group programs let you enjoy music with a group of friends. Whether it’s a class, choir, or ensemble, we promise you’ll have fun as you learn.

WCM Pops Choir
The WCM Pops Choir, led by Julie Biggs, is the only group of its kind in the city.
Join us! Rehearse with professional musicians on piano, bass, and drums. This is a fun-filled evening for those who love to sing folk, pop and jazz. If you like an energetic and enthusiastic group to sing and play with then this is the one for you. The Pops Ensembles perform at WCM Coffeehouses, Holiday and Spring Choral Concerts and other venues.
Tuition: $385, runs September to May.

The WCM Vocal Jazz Ensemble, led by Jonathan Alexiuk, emphasizes jazz styling and tight harmony. This high-energy group rehearses jazz tunes from classic to modern with a pianist and performs frequently throughout the year.

DayTrippers Ensemble
Do you love to sing? Love to sing along with the songs you love? WCM’s DayTrippers Ensemble is for people just like you! Do you love music from ABBA to David Bowie? Country, rock, show tunes, mini musicals and maybe even a jazz or big band song? Then these will be your people!
No auditions! If you love to sing and can commit to a choir of like-minded people you’re in!
Best of all…it’s during the afternoon! Yes! The afternoon!

Music Appreciation Series
Musicophiles Unite! Grow your musicianship and musical knowledge via WCM’s Music Appreciation courses as you study composers and representative musical works from a variety of musical eras and genres. Offered in-person and on-line and led by Michelle Mourre.
Mozart: Wolfgang & Nannerl
This course will take you through the life of Mozart – his early years touring with his sister and his rise to fame. Come discover the reason why this creative genius still remains a favourite today!

Mendelssohn: Felix & Fanny
Felix Mendelssohn and his sister were well educated musical talents and created beautiful works of art. We will learn about their interesting lives, discover masterpieces and see how they influenced musical life in Europe through their house concerts.

Symphonic Pictures & Poetry
Program Music – music composed using inspiration from literature, visual art and stories. Study wonderful music such as Mendelssohn’s Incidental Music to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture, Debussy’s La Mer and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique
